A Tradition of Strength and Stability

MABE member school boards have the opportunity to participate in two member owned Trusts, set up to handle Property/Casualty and Workers' Compensation Pooled Self-Insurance.

The Workers' Compensation Fund, now with 16 members, was established in 1984.  It provides statutorily required workers' compensation coverage for all employees of the member school systems, should they suffer compensable work related injuries. 

The Group Insurance Pool, established in 1986, provides casualty or liability coverage for claims made against member school systems and their employees.  The Pool also provides property coverage for the member's physical property including all buildings and their contents.  Membership in the Pool has grown to 17 members.
